Your Saints

This paper is due Monday, January 10, 2012.

You need to find a saint for your Confirmation. This will be the name you receive at Confirmation and will be part of our official church records. Remember this information on your saints because most years Bishop Calvo asks confirmandi at the Confirmation ceremony to stand up and explain who they have chosen and why.

It may be… § the saints whose name you were given at birth or when baptized § the name of someone you love or are inspired by § a saint whose feast day falls on a day important to you such as your birthday § a saint who is the patron of an activity you love or a cause you find important [patron saint of athletes, of animals, of scientists, etc.] § saint’s story that motivates or encourages you § one of the American saints: Frances Cabrini, Elizabeth Ann Seton, Theodora Guerin, John Neumann, Rose Philippine Duchesene, Katherine Drexel, Damien de Veuster of Molokai.
